Movie Review: THE MOTHER
Movie Review: THE MOTHER
I decided to watch this movie on this weekend on the pretext that I was missing my own mother as she has gone to our ancestral village to spend some time with her mother, my grandmother. The movie is an action thriller type of movie where in a mother tries to save her daughter from her ex-colleagues. This movie can be viewed in #Netflix.
The character of the mother is played by our very own Jenifer Lopez. She worked with guns dealing terrorist and once she found out that they are also smuggling kids, she decided to take them down by divulging the information to the Law enforcement agencies. She failed in doing so and got badly injured.
In return for protection of her daughter’s life, she vowed to live her life in anonymity. Later on when mother was informed that her ex-partners have found about her daughter and they are planning to abduct her, the mother comes out of hiding in order to save her daughter.
The Director Niki Caro of the movie has done its best to depict the bond and love that exists between mother and daughter. A mother wants to teach her daughter whatever she has learned through her life experiences. A mother wants to protect her child at any cost and wants to see them prosper and succeed in life.
IMDB has given a rating of 5.6 out of 10 to this movie but I will give 4points out of 10. The movie loses its grip after 45minutes and started to irritate the viewer. Although action is good and movie has a good story but the movie is not up to my expectations.
